Friday nigh pot worth $16 million
ATLANTA -- There has been a rollover in the jackpot for the multistate Mega Millions lottery - to $16 million.
The rollover occurred because no player matched all the winning numbers from Tuesday night's $12 million drawing.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be Friday night.
Although there was no grand prize winner, four players won second prizes of $250,000 apiece. None of those tickets were sold in Illinois. Another 39 players, including two who bought a ticket in Illinois, won third prizes of $10,000 apiece.
The winning numbers from Tuesday night's drawing were: nine, 15, 24, 28 and 31. The Mega Ball number was 17.
