ABILENE, TEXAS (AP) -- Two teenagers are blamed for more than $200,000 in vandalism to Bonham Elementary School in Abilene.
A 14-year-old boy appeared in juvenile court Wednesday and admitted to his role in the December vandalism at the school, which had been undergoing renovation.
A judge next week is expected is decide the punishment for the juvenile. The penalty ranges from probation to being sent to the Texas Youth Commission until he is 19.
KTXS-TV reports a 15-year-old boy was slated to be in court Thursday to also accept responsibility for the vandalism. The pair had been accused of felony criminal mischief, arson, burglary of a building and evading arrest.
Names of the juveniles were not released.
