CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Cannon Air Force base will be getting millions of dollars from the federal stimulus package.

Pronews 7 learned today that the base, near Clovis, will get over 26 million dollars. U.S. Senators Jeff Bingham and Tom Udall said today that money is part of 87 million dollars that will go to bases around the state. The money will be used to build a child development center along with 16 other projects at the base. Udall said that the funds will not only create jobs but also improve the lives of military members and their families.
