ARLINGTON, TEXAS (AP) -- A 24-year-old man faces a capital murder charge in the strangulation of a 13-year-old girl in her home.

Arlington police Lt. Blake Miller said Rodrigo Sanchez was arrested Wednesday night in the death of Elizabeth Villa, whose mother found her not breathing in her bed Monday.

Arlington police said the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the teen was strangled and had been sexually assaulted.

Police said Sanchez lived in the same building of the apartment complex but apparantly did not know the girl.

He was identified through fingerprints that were lifted from the crime scene.

He is being held on a $1 million bond at the Arlington Jail.

Miller said he did not know whether Sanchez had an attorney.
