Casey Carpet One, is offering help to families who lost homes in the recent fire in Wheeler
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- It's a story with true Panhandle spirit. Clint Norton a sales associate at Casey Carpet One, has set out to help folks who lost their homes during the recent wildfire in Wheeler.
It started with the idea of donating carpet or flooring to families rebuilding, and it quickly snowballed. The next development was that Casey Carpet One would use their vacant warehouse to be used as a drop off point for donations. Furniture, building supplies, monetary donations, clothing, or any thing someone would need starting from scratch.
Plains Transportation, then offered to donate a truck to haul donations and supplies up to Wheeler when the time comes.
It's a challenge to other local business and community members to make a difference in these families lives through donations.
"I have a lot of family in Wheeler, and it's just a community that means a lot to me, just hearing what happened up there this weekend go me started," said Clint Norton, Casey Carpet One.
"Just do what you can to help your community, and every little bit counts and can definitely make a change in somebody's life," said Norton.
