Producer David Simpson passes away
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Lone Star Ballet has lost a star from behind the scenes.
Producer David Simpson suffered a stroke this past weekend and died Monday night.
Simpson produced award shows in Los Angeles, worked in the movies, and on tour withFrank Sinatra and David Bowie.
Simpson was going to be in L.A. next week for another event at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
For the last seven years, Simpson also worked with the Lone Star Ballet on numerous productions including the new "Nutcracker."
"We'll never really replace him. He's got some big shoes to fill. He was an amazing, creative, fun loving person." said Draig Henderson with Lone Star Ballet.
Funeral services are Friday at Saint Stephen's Methodist Church.
Simpson was 55 years old.
