AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The civil lawsuit against Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo has reached a settlement.
The lawsuit claimed that child care worker, Patrick Farmer, was inapproperate around children, and that complaints about Farmer's behavior were ignored, including a letter from a former employee warning not to let him work with children.
Farmer, who was a church employee from 1995 to 2004, was convicted of 4 counts of child molestation in 2006.
The attorney for Paramount Baptist told ProNews Seven that the details of the settlement are confidential, but the church is looking forward to putting this behind them and moving forward.
