Accident leaves one dead
CANYON, TEXAS -- The Canyon Police Department has released the names of the people involved in a fatal accident yesterday morning.
Police say the driver, 15-year-old Emalie Pizano, lost control of the car while trying to make the turn at the U.S. 60 and U.S. 87 split outside of Canyon. Pizano was pronounced dead at the scene. The passengers, 15-year-old Ivory Casarez and 24-year-old Jacob Ramirez, were both taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police say that both of the passengers are now in stable condition. The investigation into the accident is still on-going.
