Traveling exhibit visited the Texas Panhandle War Memorial for a freedom rally

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Liberty Bell and Texas Fallen Heroes exhibit stopped by the Texas Panhandle War Memorial for a freedom rally on Mother's day here in Amarillo.

Pronews seven was there for the sights and sounds of an emotional ceremony.

Armed Forces Week here in Amarillo will finish up with a banquet at the civic center on Saturday May 16th, which honors all active, and past military service, and of course those that have passed away in the line of duty. This year the families of 88 fallen heroes will attend the banquet.

The event will be held inside the north exhibit hall, for reservations or information contact Jack Barnes at 806-681-3596. Barnes is the president of the America Supports You Organization based in Amarillo.

The Liberty Bell will be appearing at several schools in the Amarillo area, throughout the coming week, so kids will have a chance to ring the bell and learn some hands on history lessons at the same time.
