CLOVIS, NEW MEXICO (AP) -- A man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 10-year-old boy nearly four years ago has again contacted law enforcement officials and the Clovis News Journal.

Noe Torres has been on the run since the shooting of Carlos Perez on the night of Sept. 15, 2005. The child was sleeping next to his brother when he was hit in the head with a bullet, one of several gunshots fired through a bedroom window at the Perez home.  Police have said Carlos' older brother Ruben was the intended target.  District Attorney Matthew Chandler says local, state and federal law enforcement will not allow the investigation to rest until Torres is apprehended and returned to stand trial.

Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to Torres' arrest.
