AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Pro News 7 has learned that former first round NFL draft pick and WTAMU quarterbacks coach, Ryan Leaf has been indicted on 9 felony charges.
A Randall County grand jury indicted Leaf on 7 counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, and one count each of delivery of a simulated controlled substance and burglary of a habitation. The punishment for the burglary charge can range from 2-20 years, the remaining counts each carry a sentence of up to 2 years.
Randall County District Attorney, James Farren, told Pro News 7 that it was with some sadness the charges were taken to the grand jury, but there are not special rules for special people.
