Final decision next month
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Amarillo College Board of Regents has named Dr. Paul Matney as the sole finalist for the position of college president.
Matney has been serving as acting president through the illness and death of Steven Jones.
Tuesday's board decision was based in part on a recommendation by an advisory committee appointed in the search for a new president.
On June 10th, Matney will participate in college forums and interviews with the president's cabinet, regents, and the media. Regents anticipate a final decision on Tuesday, June 23rd.
