Associate of John Langford's now in police custody
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Langford investment fraud case, now has another layer to it.
An associate of Langford's turned himself into police custody this morning and faces eight felony charges.
Jimmy Don King, 65, faces four, third degree felony charges for being a dealer of a security without being registered,and four counts of selling unregistered securities.
Bond has been set for $100,000 for each count.
47th District Attorney Randall Sims told Pronews Seven in a press conference today, that his office is still gathering information from victims, and that currently there is more than $4 million in prosecutable losses.
"We couldn't talk to everybody at once so what we've been doing is going back and setting appointments with people and getting them in," Sims said "That's pretty much the communication that's going on now between us and the victims."
Sims said that the victims are not only from Amarillo, but from all across the Panhandle.
