AMARILLO, TEXAS -- KACV here in Amarillo has been honored with a national award from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The public access channel received a My Source Community Impact award for engagement for its Texas Panhandle World War II stories project.
The award which KACV will get in the fall goes to public TV and radio stations for their commitment and responsiveness to their communities.
The Texas Panhandle World War II stories project was an 18 month effort inspired by the Ken Burns Production.
