OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA (AP) -- Authorities say an arrest has been made in the abduction of a 10-year-old girl from Texhoma more than two years ago.
The FBI says 27-year-old Terrance Lynn McGuire was taken into custody without incident about 8:30 a.m. Friday in Canyon, Texas, where he lives. McGuire was charged Wednesday in a sealed criminal complaint accusing him of luring the child into a vehicle Jan. 18, 2007, in Texhoma, a small town in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Officials say the following day, he drove to a convenience store in Clovis, N.M., where he released the girl. She notified store employees, who immediately called authorities.
The FBI says a recent tip led them to identify McGuire as a suspect.
