AMARILLO, TEXAS -- According to police the Rick Husband International Airport in Amarillo was evacuated this afternoon around 11:50.
Terminal passengers were directed to the parking garage, while a bomb squad investigated a passenger who failed the security check point.
According to Sgt. Bret Barbee, airline officials discovered a house hold item in the passenger's bag that was wrapped in a way that make officials suspicious.
A bomb response team was brought in, but nothing was deemed dangerous. The airport re-opened around 1:50 p.m. and flights are taking off as normal.
