AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The United at I40 and Grand took over a new name this morning. It will now be called Amigo's, a name United feels more suited for residents in that area of town.

The new store is very similar to United, but does have it's own originality. Amigo's will have a fresh bakery, fresh tortilla's everyday and a variety of Mexican pastries.

Sidney Hopper from the Amigo's division say's he is excited for folks to visit the new store. He said, "We felt like the Hispanic demographic had been underserved in a lot of areas. We had a lot of calls to make this move here and were very excited to be back, and reinvest in part of a community that hasn't had a lot of growth over the years here in Amarillo."

This will be the third location for Amigo's store, the other two are in Lubbock and Plainview.
