Pampa HS evacuated yesterday

PAMPA, TEXAS -- Pampa High School students were evacuated yesterday morning for a false fire alarm.

Pampa police and firefighters responded to a fire alarm at the Pampa High School yesterday morning.

During investigation it was learned that the basement of the school had been flooded due to a student tampering with a fire sprinkler.

The suspected student has been arrested and taken to the Garza County Juvenile Detention Center in Post, Texas. He is charged with state felonies including false alarm or report of an emergency, and criminal mischief.

Estimated damage to the property is still pending
