AMARILLO, TEXAS -- We told you yesterday about the world's largest wind farm being constructed in Roscoe, and today representative David Swinford told ProNews 7 that if the wind farms that are in the works for the panhandle pan out, ours will be even larger than the one in the big country.
Swinford says that four wind farms are "on the drawing board" to be set up in the Panhandle, that would all be larger than the current largest, and one of them would be almost four times bigger. Which means good economic growth for the Panhandle.
David Swinford said, "Whenever you put 8-10 billion dollars in tax base in a small region things happen and it is good for the region and good for every single person because the taxes should go down and their services from the government should go up."
Swinford also said that several thousand jobs would be added as well.
