PPHM and Llano partner up to share local history
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Panhandle Plains Historical Museum and Llano Cemetery have partnered up to share local history by giving tours of the Cemetery.
The tour features historians that explain the historical significance of certain areas of the Cemetery and provide information about those that are buried in the historic Cemetery. Among the featured sites include the grave sites of Judge Nathan Browning, the Romany gypsy burials, J.O. Wyatt, and victims of the 1917-18 flu pandemic.
Folks toured via hay ride or walking tour, each historic site was presented by a historian from the PPHM.
This was the fourth year for the Twilight tour.
