AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo College's KACV-TV was all smiles tonight. Two of its documentaries received "My Source" awards from the Corporation of Public Broadcasting. The two documentaries honored were "Texas Panhandle World War II Stories", and "Cathedral in the Desert", a story about the P.O.W. camp between Hereford and Umbarger. KACV worked diligently on both projects, getting over 300 World War II interviews from folks across the Texas Panhandle. Senator David Pryor, a C.P.B. board member, was in town to give the award to Amarillo College President Dr. Paul Matney.
