Amarillo Rock Climbing House or A.R.C.H. just opened and offers outdoor adventure indoors
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- It takes some creativity to find outdoor adventure during the colder months, but one new Amarillo business will give you a chance for outdoor adventure indoors. The Amarillo Rock Climbing House or A.R.C.H. offers climbing walls for beginners to avid climbers just in time for winter.
A.R.C.H. offers climbing lessons along with climbing opportunities for birthday parties and even team building exercises. Owners and climbers all say that climbing builds self confidence, trust, perseverance, and many more positive attributes to those who try it.
"It can teach you a lot, how to push yourself past frustrations, there is a lot of strength involved, determination, perseverance, and trust, my husband and I started climbing together and that was an amazing trust building exercise," said Gentrye Houghton of A.R.C.H.
"There's no real finish line but the top maybe, so it's real easy to see improvement, go higher each time, you're basically just competing against yourself instead of against another team or another individual, it's just how far you want to push it and that's what's awesome about climbing," said Brandon Corbitt and avid climber.
A.R.C.H's owners say that soon they will be offering yoga classes as well.
