(AP) -- OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Internal Revenue Service is looking for more than 1,100 Oklahomans who were due refunds but the checks were returned as undeliverable.

IRS spokesman David Stell says 1,172 refunds in Oklahoma worth a total of more than $1 million were returned by the U.S. Postal Service. The average check is worth $880.

People who were due a refund but never received it should contact the IRS with a current mailing address. This can be done online at the IRS Web site - www.irs.gov.

Nationwide there are nearly 108,000 checks returned worth just more than $123.5 million.
