PAMPA, TEXAS -- Travis Elementary School in Pampa held a special tribute to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to be where we are today.  The celebration originated at Travis Elementary School, but the event kept growing and growing, so it was moved to the M.K. Brown Auditorium.

Over 1,500 people and 200 Veterans showed up to watch the students put on a musical performance, and show their support. " It's because of all these men and women that give their lives and service to our country.

They are the reason we have our freedom that we so desperately enjoy."  Said Kay Pittman, Organizer of the Veterans Day Celebration.

The students also had 500 pictures on display of family members who have served, or are still serving.
