Local Sports Clips to donate to Operation Uplink
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Sport Clips is doing their part this Veterans Day, and making a donation from every hair cut.
From November 8 - 14th, $1 from every haircut will be donated to the VFW Operation Uplink program.
The program pays for active military men and women to call home.
This is the third year for Sports Clips to participate in the program.
Last year stores nationwide raised $120,000, and this year they hope to raise at least $125,000.
So far this week, the two Amarillo stores located at 2325 South Georgia and 3240 Soncy Road have raised over $2,000.
