Saint Mary's Rosary Altar Society hosted a turkey dinner today as two thousand people feasted on a Thanksgiving meal.

The event featured a whopping 60 turkeys and of course all the fixings including dessert.  It's all put on by the Altar Society which is a group of women that work to find different ways to help around the church.

The goal is to help with little things here and there so everyone is working like a family. "You can see, it's, there's a lot of comradery here and these are all family, we consider st. mary's parish family to be in here right now and that's the way we act, we sit at the table with our friends and people look forward to it because of that i think," said Dottie Lopez, the Turkey Dinner Publicity Chair.

The turkey dinner has been held every November since before the 1950's.
