PORTALES, NEW MEXICO -- Portales police are investigating a homicide that happened Monday night. At around 9 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of East Ivy in reference to a fight that had taken place. When officers arrived they found victims at the residence and some victims were taken by private car to Roosevelt General Hospital. Sheriff's deputies assisting located an additional victim at a nearby residence. At Roosevelt General, 25-year-old Marco Bonilla of Portales was treated for multiple stab wounds and was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. 53-year-old, Leroy Salas, 22-year-old Lucio Ramirez, and 34-year-old Marvin Silva were all treated and released.
Portales police are investigating the altercation.
