Folks lined up at the Big Texan today, packing their plates for the Thanksgiving buffet. Almost 2,000 people will walk through the doors by the end of today.
The made from scratch spread, includes the traditional turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and this years new recipe for pumpkin pie. Some folks said instead of spending time cooking, and then cleaning up, they'd rather spend time with family.
"We have 17 family member and we just decided instead of doing all the clean up and the reputation the big texan has, we wanted to bring our family here, so we could enjoy it, and we really did," said Fred Dahle, a diner at the Big Texan. "Just to avoid all the holiday cooking, me my sister, brother in law and parents and little girl all came out to eat today," said Renetta Fletcher, also a Thanksgiving Diner.
It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without steak at the Big Texan, and with stretchy pants already intact for the holiday, one colorado man was ready and instead of turkey, ordered the 72 ounce steak.
