(AP) -- SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Deputies in Bexar (BAYR) County broke up an alleged jailbreak plot when they confiscated ropes, dyed inmate clothing and a hacksaw blade.
Deputy Chief Daniel Gabehart says four inmates were believed to be involved in the scheme. The male prisoners have been moved to higher security individual cells.
Detention officers were doing cell inspections Saturday when the items, including a pair of hand-braided, 30-foot long ropes, were recovered. The ropes were made from bedsheets and blankets.
Authorities believe two inmates used teabags to dye their jail-issued orange jumpsuits dark brown. Officials also found a broken window and a brick.
