AMARILLO, TEXAS -- College students everywhere have been pinching pennies and borrowing books from friends to avoid hitting that college bookstore.

With the price of textbooks skyrocketing here's some places you can go to save a buck or two.

Buffalo bookstore in Canyon has been a family owned business for more than forty years. They pride themselves in selling mostly used books, at a low rate.

They say they try to avoid buying new books, because now days they're simply too costly. Buffalo Bookstore owner Joe Stevens said, "It's an alternative for the student, usually our lines are not as long as the university bookstore."
