AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A local pastor is making waves tonight and the religious ripple effects are being felt from Amarillo all the way into the Houston mayor's office.  Pastor David Grisham has launched a new website called www.boycotthouston.com.

He's encouraging people to ''not'' spend money in Houston, because he feels that city has become morally bankrupt.  "Two significant things have happened during the month of January in Houston. first they elected the first openly homosexual mayor in Miss Annise Parker, and they built the largest abortion clinic in the country," said Grisham.

Grisham said the Lord instructed him speak out, not only against the mayor, but the city's plan to build the largest abortion clinic in the country. He compares what's happening in Houston to the ultra-liberal views of northern California.

"Do you want a Texas version of San Francisco? The homosexuals have a lot of political power in that city," said Grisham.  Houston's openly gay mayor, Annise Parker feels confident that level headed citizens in Amarillo will still visit and spend money in her city.

"I trust that the citizens of Amarillo will still come to Houston, and I'll do my best to make sure that Houston is a great place to do business and a great place to visit," said Parker.

But according Grisham, bigger is not better when it comes to abortion clinics. He's called Houston the ''abortion capitol'' of America.  He knows there are Christians in Houston, and around the state, who don't like this trend.

BoycottHouston.com is a forum designed to get their message heard.

"You look at Joel Osteen's Lakeside Church, it's the biggest evangelical church in the country, and in the same town there is the biggest abortion clinic, that to me seems hypocritical," Grisham continued.
