(AP) -- ALTON, Texas (AP) - Hidalgo County authorities say a dispute over who could use the bathroom first left one man dead and his brother accused in the fatal shooting.

Sheriff Lupe Trevino says the brothers, ages 20 and 22, had been in physical confrontations before, including a knife fight a couple of years ago.

Relatives told deputies that the men argued Tuesday morning about who could use the bathroom first at a residence in the Alton area.

Trevino says the older brother faced arraignment Wednesday on a murder charge.

Justice of the Peace Luis Garza identified the slain man as 20-year-old Jeremiah Hooper. An autopsy was ordered.
