AMARILLO, TX -- The city of Amarillo's new public health building in Northeast Amarillo was dedicated today.

The 12,000 square-foot building will help the city increase the amount of services it can provide for the community.

It offers a full-service STD clinic, Immunizations for adults and children, Communicable disease investigations, public health education classes, and room for more than 30 public health staff.

"This is important because we've increased exam rooms, we have new meeting space for the community, we have increased waiting areas, we have increased parking and this just allows us more capacity for more of our efforts," said Matt Richardson, the Director of Public Health.

The city has moved all of its operations to the new facility. So you can head to 1000 North Martin road now for health services.
