(AP) -- SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - New Mexicans from across the state can tune into live video streaming of proceedings of the state House of Representatives.
The House launched video Webcasts of its sessions Tuesday. A link for the webcasts is available at the Legislature's Web site.
The House started audio webcasting last year and expanded it this year to include committees. Last year, the Senate began audio and video webcasts of its floor sessions.
Supporters say the webcasts will allow more people to follow what happens in the Legislature and make government more transparent.
House GOP Whip Keith Gardner of Roswell joked that the floor proceedings could cure insomnia for some people who tune into the webcasts.
