Roses may not be the right choice
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- What flowers do women really want for Valentines day? Turns out roses may not be the right choice.
"When asked what men think women want for Valentines Day; their number one response is red roses, but when you ask women what their one favorite thing to get for Valentines Day, it's not roses, in fact roses fall way down the list. They would like big bright colorful bouquets, I think that is interesting because that's a complete opposite," said Parie Villyard, Owner of Secret Garden Fine Flowers.
Despite a rough economy, this years orders may surpass last years. Another interesting note; people are spending more per order for their sweetheart. According to the Secret Garden they have seen an average increase of $10-15 more per order. The average Valentines Day flower order was around $90.
