Powers thought he was in trouble by the church, so instead of going home, officers say Powers wandered around.
A call to police was placed at 6:45 p.m. a helicopter crew, officers with thermal heat sensors on the ground, and two K-9 units were out looking for the boy.
John is four foot six, 80 pounds, and is wearing a blue "Greenways" t-shirt with the number 2017 on the back.
