WASHINGTON (AP) - A law enforcement official says the crash of a small plane into a building in Austin, Texas does not initially appear to be the result of a crime or terrorism.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to publicly discuss the incident, and investigators are still responding to the scene of a seven-story office building in Austin.

Black smoke was coming from the building Thursday morning. The building is located on a major highway in the city.

Dawn Clopton, a division chief with the Austin Fire Department, says two people from the building are unaccounted for. She says it was a small private plane that crashed. No other information was immediately available.
