COVINGTON, La. (AP) - The obstruction of justice trial for a Washington Parish man arrested following the shooting death of an alleged Ku Klux Klan recruit has been delayed.
Shane Foster had been set for trial Monday in St. Tammany Parish. No new date has been set.
Foster is the son of Raymond Foster, who is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 43-year-old Cynthia Lynch. Authorities have said she was recruited from her home in Tulsa, Okla., to join a Klan group by way of the Internet. But she was shot to death, allegedly after telling the elder Foster she wanted to leave an initiation rite and go home.
Raymond Foster is set for trial on April 5.
