DALLAS (AP) - Texas dealt with its second winter snowstorm in as many weeks as scores of flights were canceled and road crews used sand to prep for possible icy conditions.
The National Weather Service said San Angelo, Midland, Odessa and Lubbock had received snow Tuesday as the storm tracked toward the Waco and Dallas-Fort Worth areas.
American Airlines spokesman Tim Wagner says more than 100 flights were canceled Tuesday at its main hub, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Wagner says the count included 33 American flights and 70 American Eagle flights.
DFW was under a winter weather advisory until late Tuesday, with about an inch of snow expected. Father south, snowfalls of 2-4 inches were forecast.
NWS says the Dallas area last month set a record, with 12.5 inches of snow for the 24-hour period ending Feb. 12.
