McALLEN, Texas (AP) - A south Texas man is in custody on charges of possession with intent to distribute more than two tons of marijuana found in a tanker truck on his property.

The U.S. Attorney's office in McAllen says Jaime Fernandez Cantu was ordered during a Tuesday hearing to be held without bond. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents found the tanker truck parked on a property in McAllen that Cantu shares with his mother.

Witnesses told investigators that unnamed individuals approached Cantu about storing the truck on the property, according to court records. They said Cantu was paid $1,300 to keep the truck there.

Cantu was arrested Thursday. Court records didn't list an attorney for Cantu.
