A new Rasmussen Report, shows Rick Perry has his biggest lead yet. The March Primaries are just around the corner and the telephone survey of likely Republican Primary voters finds Perry leading Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison 48% to 27%, leaving Debra Medina with 16% of the vote. Nine percent of Texas GOP voters remain undecided.
At the beginning of the month, Perry lead 44% to Hutchison's 29% and Medina 's16%. Hutchison hasn't been in the lead since September when she announced her candidacy for governor. At that time she posted a 40% lead to 38% over Perry, since then her support has been on the decline.
Of those Texans who say they voted early Perry is at 49% while Hutchison picked up 24%, leaving Medina with 20% respectively.
If the winning candidate fails to get 50% of the vote a run-off between the top two vote-getters will be held on April 13
