CLOVIS,N.M. -- Thursday night in Clovis, a candidates forum will be held for the five candidates running for Governor in the Republican Primary. The debate is designed to give you a sampling of what each candidate represents in his/her campaign.

The debate will be held Thursday from 7:00-9:00 at the Lyceum Theater located at 411 N. Main.

As of right now there is no Democratic Gubernatorial debate planned because there is only one candidate. Planning officials say they will make every attempt to host a debate between the Republican and Democratic candidates later this year.

The candidates running are:

Doug Turner

Dona Ana County District Attorney Susana Martinez

State Representative Janice Arnold-Jones
