(AP) -- TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Police say a domestic-violence suspect is dead after he grabbed the gun of an officer whose partner then shot the suspect in a northside Tulsa home.

Authorities say the shooting occurred about 9:20 p.m. Friday after two officers responded to a call of a domestic disturbance.

One of the officers tried to arrest the 26-year-old man, but investigators say the man fought back, grabbing the arresting officer's gun from its holster during the altercation. That prompted the officer to call to his partner for help.

Police say the other officer fired at the suspect, striking him twice.

Authorities have not provided names of either the man killed or the two officers, both of them veterans of more than 15 years on the Tulsa police force.
