AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Prom is a big deal for any girl, but the opportunity to have the prom dress of her dreams isn't always a reality but Palo Duro high school is determined to make it happen.
The school has a prom dress closet tucked away in the nurses office.
They've been collecting dresses there for the past four years, and donate them to any girl in need.
It doesn't have to be a PD student either. Officials say they've provided dresses to girls all the way in New Mexico.
Theatre Arts Director Shannon Mashburn said, "Its so much fun to sit here and watch the girls try them on and we make them model, and their moms come in and their so excited, and it's just wonderful to get to see their happy faces and watch a girl walk out with a beautiful dress about to have the time of their lives."
If you have dresses you would like to donate you can drop them off at the main office of Palo Duro High School.
