AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Under the umbrella of the Amarillo Area Foundation, Panhandle Twenty/20 is creating a study to address The State of the Family.
The three areas of focus are: family stability, access to basic needs, and the impact of education on a family's status.
The purpose, to improve family's lives, lower poverty rates, but most of all help a child succeed in the classroom.
The group is gathering information in potter and randall counties and using resources like Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and the United Way to help heal the issues they find.
Panhandle Twenty/20's Anette Carlisle, "they work with the community and community navigators where they work to really achieve success in the family."
