AMARILLO,TEXAS -- If you need to sell your house but need to turn it around quickly or don't want to wade into the housing market you might consider an auction.

There are houses currently up for auction in the Texas Panhandle, including this one off of Soncy and Bent Tree.

There are different types of auctions including reserve and no reserve and you can have your house off the market in a matter of minutes with an auction.

Spanky Assiter with Assiter Auctioneers says "It's quick, efficient, it's transparent and it's fair to both parties. There's no negotiating process . You take the high bid, the seller has the right, as a seller you don't have to negotiate, and as a buyer, you get to go and name your own price."

Just an FYI from the time you sign the paperwork until the time a new owner takes over your house can take up to 60 days.
