Hal Miner, 47th District court judge, died Friday in a New York hospital. Miner had traveled to New York for surgery on an unrelated health issue in February. Miner suffered a mild heart attack after the surgery, and then he had another bad one, he recovered from those, before suffering several strokes. Miner was 64 years-old.
Miner was first elected to the bench in 2002. His 47th District Court has jurisdiction in Armstrong, Potter and Randall counties.
Services for Miner are pending with Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
