LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Investigators say an infant girl who died in a Lubbock mobile home fire was left alone when her parents visited some neighbors.
Interim fire marshal Garett Nelson says the victim was 8 months old. Nelson on Monday told The Associated Press that autopsy results are pending. He says the baby's name has not yet been released.
Investigator Robert Loveless says the blaze apparently broke out Saturday night near a heater. Loveless says the parents were a couple of mobile homes down from their residence at the time of the fire.
The fire happened at the Pecan Grove Mobile Home Park.
