Senator Kel Seliger along with many other republicans is against the passage of the Federal Health Care Bill.
Seliger released this statement Monday regarding that bill.
"Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) stated last week that the current health care reform proposal will not reduce the cost of health and will not reduce the deficit. The number one reason why so many Americans cannot afford health insurance is the high and rising costs of health care in this country.
In addition to imposing sweeping and unprecedented mandates, the measure passed yesterday represents the largest business tax in U.S. history. Businesses will no longer be able to afford health insurance for their employees.
Ultimately, these 'reforms' will constitute an entitlement program whose size and administrative problems will dwarf Social Security."
