AMARILLO, TEXAS -- If you're turning the old a-m dial in the vicinIty of 1360...get ready to hear something new across the high plains very soon.

KDJW, Saint Valentine's Catholic radio, is bumping up it's power from 500 to 6,000 watts in the next couple months.

They'll offer traditional Catholic programming to hundreds of thousands of Panhandle listeners with increased wattage to help spread the word across rural areas.

General Manager Sister Miriam Grady says, "Catholic radio is really a perfect tool, especially for this area that's so spread out trying to reach so many people with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ...and being able to just get behind a mike and do that, is awesome!."

There have been a few delays, but they're hoping to witch over their high powered station around June 1st and hope to start offering up Spanish programming in the not too distant future.
